01 — Project overview

“New Perspectives” (Perspektiva të Reja) is a multi-year socio-economic development programme designed to improve key conditions in Kukës County and Dibër Municipality that often drive irregular migration to the United Kingdom. The programme is implemented by Swisscontact Albania in partnership with TAG International and financed by the UK Government (FCDO/UK Aid).

Spontan Creative Media served as the programme’s main communications and production partner, supporting how the programme was presented and understood by the public through programme rebranding, YES Centers branding across four municipalities, continuous video and photography production, print/visibility systems, event production support, and social media management.

This was not a single campaign. It was a multi-year communications ecosystem designed to:

  1. shift perception (from “migration is the only option” to “local opportunity is real”), and
  2. convert awareness into participation (YES Center engagement, training uptake, scholarship visibility, business support promotion, and event attendance).

02 — Outcome at a glance

The result was a programme-scale communications system that combined:

  • Full programme rebrand and brand governance (identity system, templates, brand rules, consistent look and feel)
  • YES Centers branding across Kukës, Tropojë, Has, and Peshkopi (including branded environments and activation visibility)
  • Dozens of videos produced and 100+ beneficiary interviews (programme storytelling at scale)
  • Flagship narrative campaigns (The Returnees, Silent Heroes) plus identity campaigns (Self-Made Women)
  • High-volume print and visibility system (posters, brochures, toolkits, banners, rollups and more)
  • Event production at scale (from local formats to 1,000+ participants) with stage/LED/branding support
  • Performance-oriented dissemination reaching audiences in Albania and abroad (including diaspora reach)
  • A supporting content line: Love North Albania (regional reconnection, pride, and opportunity)

04 — The challenge

New Perspectives addresses a behavioural and socio-economic reality: outward migration becomes culturally normal when opportunity is limited and trust is weak.

The communications challenge was therefore not “promotion.” It was to build a system that could:

  • Make local opportunity visible, real, and credible
  • Humanise programme impact through consistent storytelling (not abstract messaging)
  • Maintain coherence across multiple programme components, cities, partners, and years
  • Operate at production scale: always-on video pipelines, events, print, and local activation
  • Support both long-term narrative change and short-term conversion (participation, engagement, attendance)

In donor-funded programmes, fragmentation is the main risk: separate activities producing separate messages. The challenge was to prevent that—while keeping content authentic, locally grounded, and strong enough to shift perception across multiple years.

05 — What Spontan specifically solved

Spontan solved a common donor-programme problem: how do you maintain consistent, multi-year communications across locations and programme components—without fragmentation, brand drift, or disconnected deliverables?

  1. 01

Built a cohesive brand system for multi-year consistency

We delivered the programme rebranding foundation (identity and overall look and feel) and extended it into a practical system designed to keep consistency across years and outputs: templates, rules, and motion identity packages.

  2. 02

Made YES Centers a recognisable youth opportunity infrastructure

We created a unified YES Centers branding system across Kukës, Tropojë, Has, and Peshkopi, applying it through local activation materials and branded environments so that the YES model was immediately recognisable across municipalities.

  3. 03

Built an always-on video storytelling engine

We structured production into repeatable video series (grants, coaching, scholarships, businesses, YES Center launches) and continuous field production, enabling dozens of videos and 100+ beneficiary interviews, sustaining credibility at scale.

  4. 04

Delivered flagship narrative campaigns that shift perception

We produced high-impact campaigns built around real people and real decisions. This directly aligns with governance and donor priorities related to:

    • The Returnees: return, reinvestment, local job creation
    • Silent Heroes: cinematic-style teaser storytelling with real people as “heroes of the region”
    • Self-Made Women: role-model profiles of women building futures in the North

These campaigns were designed to create emotional credibility, not only awareness.

  5. 05

Delivered events, visibility, and production at scale

We supported and managed events from small community formats to large public activations (20 to 1,000+ participants), including stage/LED systems, branded environments, drone coverage, and post-event dissemination.

  6. 06

Turned printing and visibility into a system

We designed and produced a high-volume print and visibility ecosystem deployed across programme phases: posters, brochures, toolkits, banners, rollups, and additional field materials.

06 — The core value Spontan added

Spontan’s core value was the ability to connect six elements into one delivery model:

  • a unified brand system across years and municipalities
  • high-volume storytelling production without losing authenticity
  • conversion-oriented communication that supports programme participation (YES Centers, trainings, scholarships, business support)
  • event activation capability at scale (including full production environments)
  • governed print/visibility systems deployed consistently over multiple years
  • continuity discipline: consistent identity, consistent output quality, consistent programme voice
07 — Scope of work

Spontan delivered integrated programme communications across branding, production, and activation, including:

  • Programme rebranding (identity system, brandbook, templates, motion identity intro/outro)
  • YES Centers branding across 4 municipalities (including branded environments and visibility systems)
  • Video production across programme components and flagship campaigns (with subtitles where required)
  • Photography and drone production across multiple municipalities and events
  • Event production support (branding environments, stage/LED visuals, on-site visibility, documentation)
  • Design and production of print and visibility materials across programme phases (high-volume)
  • Social media communication planning and management (programme-aligned voice)
  • Business promotion support (video spots for businesses that required more visibility; print packages for others)
  • YES Center interior/environment design support across the 4 municipalities (space branding and visual implementation)
08 — Delivery methodology
  1. 01

Rebranding and brand systemization (Programme + YES Centers)

To ensure the rebrand was grounded in the programme’s reality (not just aesthetics), we began with a structured brand questionnaire shared with programme stakeholders, then consolidated the inputs into one agreed direction (target audiences, core values, brand personality, key messages, use-cases, and visual preferences). Based on the collective answers and alignment discussions, we developed three distinct identity routes for “New Perspectives” and the YES Centers brand architecture; one route was selected as the official direction and refined into a full implementation system. We then delivered the brandbook and rollout toolkit, including logo rules, typography/colour system, templates, and a motion identity package (logo animations, intro/outro, and branded video language) to ensure consistent execution across videos, events, print, and YES Center environments over the multi-year programme.

    Logo concept rationale (New Perspectives)

The new icon was designed as a compact “story” of growth and opportunity in Northern Albania. It combines (1) a growth metric/ascending chart logic to reflect progress and measurable development, (2) the mountainous landscape as the visual identity of the North, and (3) an open window shape symbolising opportunities and new horizons. These elements resolve into a single emblem that remains readable at small sizes while carrying meaning at institutional level. The chosen style direction was intentionally bright, friendly, warm, and modern, enabling the brand to communicate hope and credibility without losing seriousness across print, events, video, and digital use.

  2. 02

Content architecture (pillars + series + conversion)

We structured communication around repeatable pillars aligned with programme logic:

    • Opportunity pathways: coaching, training, scholarships, YES Center support
    • Proof of impact: grant winners, businesses supported, employed/self-employed stories
    • Role models: returnees, women leaders, silent heroes
    • Community identity: Northern Albania pride and future focus
    • Trust-building: events, hubs, stakeholder cooperation and visibility
  3. 03

Production engine (video + photo + drone)

    • Continuous filming workflow across municipalities
    • Documentary-style interviews and promotional spots
    • Subtitles to maximise accessibility and performance where needed
    • Drone capture to show regional scale and authority
    • Formatting into series/playlists for clarity and sustained engagement
  4. 04

Activation layer (events + on-site visibility)

    • Event production support (stage, LED, branding, visuals, logistics)
    • Capture and post-event content to extend impact beyond event dates
  5. 05

    Print/visibility governance

    • Consistent design language across toolkits, brochures, banners, signage, rollups
    • Production-ready file governance and delivery reliability across phases

14 — FAQ

What makes this more than a campaign?

Because it is a multi-year, multi-location communications system combining rebranding, continuous production pipelines (video/photo/drone), events, printing/visibility, and social media governance.

Why do narrative campaigns matter for migration drivers?

Because perception and identity influence decisions. Returnees, Silent Heroes, and Self-Made Women make local opportunity believable through real people, not slogans.

What is the strategic value of YES Centers branding?

YES Centers are physical opportunity infrastructures. A unified brand increases trust, recognisability, participation, and continuity across municipalities.

Can Spontan deliver similar donor-funded programme communications at scale?

Yes. This case demonstrates multi-year, multi-location delivery across branding, video, events, visibility, and dissemination.

15 — Closing statement

New Perspectives demonstrates Spontan Creative Media’s ability to deliver high-stakes, donor-funded programme communications where success depends on continuity, credibility, and real activation—not just creative output.

In this assignment, Spontan translated a complex socio-economic programme into a coherent regional narrative and communications ecosystem, combining:

  • full programme rebranding and brand governance
  • YES Centers branding across four municipalities
  • high-volume video production and beneficiary interviews
  • large-scale events with full visibility and production infrastructure
  • consistent print/visibility systems deployed across programme phases

The result is a communications system designed to remain recognisable, scalable, and conversion-oriented over time—supporting participation, stakeholder trust, and long-term opportunity messaging in Northern Albania.
